PUT ON YOUR BEST HARRY POTTER COSTUME FOR “THE BIG HARRY DEAL”

The Omni Theater Showing of Harry Potter is in IMAX 2D dome format not IMAX 3D.

Prepare your charms, spells and grab your wand! On July 11, 2007, at the Omni Theater, an IMAX dome at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, moviegoers will be spellbound when they join the ranks of Dumbledore’s Army and see the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in IMAX®. Digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (digital re-mastering) technology, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix: The IMAX Experience will debut concurrently with the nationwide 35mm release from Warner Bros. Pictures on July 11th.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix marks the fourteenth IMAX film release from Warner Bros. Pictures. The IMAX Experience, featuring the large 15/70 film frame combined with IMAX projection technology and remarkable sound system, provides a unique and extraordinary moviegoing experience. Audiences will be virtually transported inside the magical wizarding world of Hogwarts as they watch Harry and “Dumbledore’s Army” courageously take on the Dark forces that threaten them on screens that fill your entire field of view, surrounded by state-of-the-art digital surround sound.

The film’s director, David Yates, stated, “Seeing ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ on the giant IMAX screen, audiences will feel as if they have literally stepped into the world of Harry Potter to experience all of the action and adventure alongside Harry, Hermione and Ron.”

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts only to discover that much of the wizarding community has been led to believe that the story of the teenager’s recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort is a lie, putting Harry’s integrity in question. Worse, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge, has appointed a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, the duplicitous Professor Dolores Umbridge. But Professor Umbridge’s “Ministry-approved” course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the Dark forces threatening them, so, at the prompting of his friends Hermione and Ron, Harry is convinced to take matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves “Dumbledore’s Army,” Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.
