Ford W Bell Visit

Van Romans recently welcomed Ford W. Bell, DVM, President of the American Alliance of Museums, to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.  He spoke to board members and invited guests about the future of our American institutions. Dr. Bell began his tenure as president in June 2007 and brought to AAM a lifelong passion for museums, and a clear understanding of the important role which our organizations play as places of lifelong learning and inspiration.

Dr. Bell has more than 30 years experience as a nonprofit executive, board chair, donor, trustee and educator. From 1995 to 2005, he served as president and CEO of the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, a prominent clinical cardiovascular research organization and a nationally recognized provider of community heart health education.

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History was honored that Dr. Bell took the time out of his busy schedule for his visit and to share some enlightening words on the future of museums and how our organization is one of the leading innovators in the field.
