The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame
Experience two museums under one roof!

You’ll find two museums under one roof at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. While the Museum of Science and History is under construction, many of our interactive exhibits will be on display on the National Cowgirl Museum’s lower level. Upstairs you can still step into the world of the cowgirl – and experience both museums for one admission price. The National Cowgirl Museum is much more than memorabilia. Live the cowgirl experience through interactive exhibits, sweeping film presentations, and intriguing stories from the past and present that everyone – from ages 2 to 102 – will enjoy.

The Hall of Fame
A storied tapestry, the cowgirl’s tale unfolds in the Hall of Fame. Here you can explore the distinguished lives of the honorees via on of two large touch-screen electronic “yearbooks.”

A Movie in Glass
Located between the first and second floors, you’ll discover 12 different Lifetiles -- murals made of hand-blown glass that change as you move around. Come wander through and experience famous cowgirls, trick roping, bronc riding and a few surprises!

“Spirit of the Cowgirl”
A starting point for the Museum experience, this beautifully filmed 8-minute presentation introduces you to the many faces of the cowgirl.

Kinship with the Land
The cowgirl’s spirit seems to stretch as far as the horizon! Embark on a sweeping journey in the film, “Closer to the Land,” then explore the cowgirl’s complex relationship with the land. From working with animals on the ranch to preserving the land, you’ll experience the wide-open spaces of the West.

Into the Arena
From the glory of the spotlight to life outside the chutes, share in the victories and heartaches of cowgirls and follow their stories from the rodeo arena to the racetrack. Thrill to “Great Rides,” a multi-screen movie that captures some of the greatest arena images and events. Don’t miss your own eight seconds on the bucking bronc!

Claiming the Spotlight
