The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History would like to wish you a fantastic school year. We are passionate about learning and supporting you in your classroom. This is a year of transition for the Museum as we say goodbye to our home since 1953. Our commitment to you and your students remains strong throughout the transition.
Field Trips
If you want to plan a field trip that is memorable for all of the right reasons, then we can make it happen. During construction, field trips now include exhibits from both the Museum of Science and History and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Field trips to the National Cowgirl Museum will run September 16 - November 23. Combined field to the Museum of Science and History and National Cowgirl Museum (“two museums under one roof”) will begin November 26.
When booking a field trip, you will have two time-frame options from which to choose. The first option is 9:30-11:30 a.m.; the second option is 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. Contact Group Services for groups of 15 or more at lest two weeks in advance. Reach us by phone at 817-255-9440 or toll free at 888-255-9300, ext. 440. We are happy to take your call between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Learn More

Professional Development
For professionals who have spent their careers in the classroom, it’s great to find quality training that is both relevant and enjoyable. During construction, we have relocated to the Transition Village, located at the corner of Harley and Montgomery. The Center for Science Learning will be set up in the School Services building. Professional development and Saturday Educator Workshops will take place in this area. Look for information on professional development opportunities in early October.
The School Services staff remains committed to bringing extraordinary learning experiences to your students and meaningful professional development to you. Please feel free to call us with any questions you have about our programs or the transition. We are looking forward to working with you this year. Learn More
